When will it be over?
Have you noticed the New York media still clinging to threads of departed Mets manager Willie Randolph? Why? Shouldn’t the press in the Big Apple be more worried about the current state of the club, rather than a guy who has nothing more to do with the team? Yes, they should. But, for some reason there are still 3-4 articles coming out daily from New York press members about Randolph.
The latest news is that Mets owner Fred Wilpon is speaking out about the firing of Randolph. He seems to think that though Randolph was rather successful in his stint with the club, he needed to go and general manager Omar Minaya did the right thing.
Is there really anything else left to say? Oh yeah - the Mets are 37-38 overall and four games out of the National League East top spot.
